Endorsement from the Kenya Mission to the UN

The Yale Model African Union secretariat is honored to be endorsed by the Kenyan Diplomatic Mission to the United Nations.

The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Kenya to the United Nations serves as the Kenyan delegation to the United Nations. Additionally, the mission currently represents Kenya in the United Nations Security Council where it is one of three African nations to hold rotating two-year membership.

As YMAU aims to develop its participant's understanding of African affairs and diplomacy on the continent, we recognize the tremendous value inherent in partnering with the diplomatic mission of an African nation. Our gratitude to His Excellency, Ambassador Kimani, cannot be overstated.

The YMAU team is inexpressibly excited to offer our participants the opportunity to engage with and learn from representatives of the Kenyan Diplomatic Mission who will serve as great repositories of knowledge for youth seeking careers in diplomacy, public service, development, economic management, and governmental work.

In addition to meeting Kenyan diplomats this May in Kigali, the YMAU team is excited to announce an internship opportunity with the Kenyan Diplomatic Mission to the United Nations! This opportunity will give current Kenyan undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to intern for the Kenyan Mission at the United Nations headquarters in New York City. We look forward to releasing additional details in the coming days!

We hope that you will register for the Yale Model African Union to continue gaining invaluable educational, networking, and public service opportunities such as this!
