Addis Ababa, Ethiopia —

The Yale Model African Union (YMAU) is pleased to announce that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has expressed its support and positive consideration for YMAU VI, to be hosted in Addis Ababa from March 15-17, 2027.

In a formal letter to the YMAU Secretariat, the Ministry commended the initiative's focus on Pan-Africanism, youth leadership, and understanding of continental affairs. It stressed the importance of giving young people meaningful opportunities to engage with Africa's political, economic, and social issues.

As home to the African Union's headquarters, Addis Ababa will place delegates in direct proximity to the institutions at the center of the affairs they will study and debate.

YMAU is honored by the Ministry's recognition and looks forward to collaborating with Ethiopian institutions ahead of YMAU VI.
