YMAU delegate guidance
The Secretariat’s current instruction is for delegates who need a visa to apply under the tourist category. Because Ethiopia’s Immigration and Citizenship Service controls visa classification and entry, every delegate should confirm the category shown for their passport before paying.
The checker below uses the official government lists for visa exemption and tourist visa on arrival. All other passport holders can use the advance tourist eVisa pathway, subject to the official requirements.
Check your Ethiopian visa pathway.
Choose the nationality on the passport you will travel with.
The result is a planning aid, not an entry guarantee. Always verify your pathway on the official Ethiopian Immigration and Citizenship Service portal before booking travel.
